Community Cinema and Theatre on Church Road, Ton Pentre. Grade 2 listed building since 1996. The Phoenix is owned by Rhondda Community Development Association. The committee is run by Rhondda Community Business Initiative. Neal Hammond is the Secretary of the committee, and applied for the funding in 2012 which paid for the new digital projector, Marketing Officer and projectionist. Whilst the funding is in place for specific things, it is the income from the cinema, hiring and kiosk sales which pays for repairs and the upkeep of the building.
